Nature's Wonder of Colors

We have actually had a couple days of sunshine! Will wonders never cease! BUT it has been cold as a witches t*t! Been down in the lower 30s at night and only getting to upper 40s during the day. Brrrrr. Today though it is supposed to get to 60 something and tomorrow the low 70 with rain. So there goes fall. Still haven’t reached the peak color on the trees but all the rain and wind has blown a lot of the leaves off already.
I’ve finished my window so just waiting to get it put up. Went into town in the a.m. for groceries – on the way in we noticed that all the fields were covered with FROST!
Yep it was cold at night. Got home and am trying to pull all the paper work we need for this years trip to Mexico together. Think I have it, will makes copies then we are good to go.
Not much else going around here at the house so we decided to take a ride up in the park.
This is a picture of the horse farm right down the hill from us.
Had to go by the burned down Little Nashville Opry to get to the park. What a shame. Really hurting the little town as it drew about 2000 people a weekend here for the shows.
Then to the park.
The Brown County State Park is over 15,000 acres and was opened in 1929.Just some of the trees with the sunlight on them.
Stopped here at a nice playground but it was empty. This area has lots of tulip trees.
On down to Ogle Lake – couldn’t resist taking pictures there. Some of these trees are Yellowwoods.

He is just sitting there enjoying nature.

Just a picture of the road, liked the colors and shadows.

A couple of the really colorful trees around.

Looking down over the park.
Leaving the park through the double covered bridge.
Some of the tourists and the little trolley down town Nashville. The road up to the house

We bought more corn so the deer are out back again but not until after they ate all the leaves and flowers of both big geraniums out front. I’ve already cut down the roses for the year.
